Quick Exchange Latching PTT
This optional latching PTT allows you to lock the radio into transmit where long transmissions are required. All QX earpieces have a conventional integral PTT (transmit button) and this option allows you to use PTT or Latching Transmit.
The unit fits between the QX headset or earpiece and the QX adaptor. The earpiece PTT works as normal until the PTT is locked on.
Fitted with our QX Quick Exchange plug system so you can use it with with many different makes of radio. You can find the full range of QX modular adaptors here.
Please note that all radios have a ‘Stuck Mic’ timer which limit transmission times to around 1 to 2 minutes. This can sometimes be extended using the radio programming software.
