If you're working in open boats and all kinds of weather, a Gecko Marine Safety Helmet is essential. If you're already using one, you’ll likely need a communication headset to connect to your VHF or Tetra radio or Wired or Wireless Intercom.

Even if you're using a waterproof radio, it still needs protection from the harsh conditions of work in open boats. That’s where our custom communication headsets for Gecko Helmets come in. We offer a variety of options to tailor the system to your specific needs.

Headset
Our headsets feature a push-fit design that easily installs into the ear ports on your helmet. They’re simple to attach, and just as easy to remove for cleaning.

Microphone
The boom mic is positioned close to your mouth, ensuring clear communication over wind and engine noise. We offer microphones that are compatible with a wide range of communication devices.

Speakers
Choose between one or two speakers. Dual speakers are recommended for better clarity, especially for weak incoming radio signals.

Transmit Button (PTT)
The transmit button can be placed on one of the speaker assemblies, so you can transmit with a simple tap on the side of your helmet. Alternatively, the transmit button can be located in the cable between the radio and the helmet.

Radio Protection
We’ve modified a heavy-duty Aquapac case to allow a tough, curly cable to exit through a waterproof cable gland, connecting to your headset and PTT. This setup provides extra protection for your radio from saltwater and freshwater exposure.
